As a gorge resident, this is my boyfriend and I's favorite go-to lunch stop. We always split the "Big Kahuna" ($12) and it's still almost too much food. The smoky flavor of the chicken, tender beef, plus pulled pork with delicious sauces AND sticky rice and macaroni salad is SO GOOD.

Excellent Big Kahuna plate. Price is just right for the amount you get. Mac salad was different than what typical Hawaiian-based restaurants serve but it tasted fresh and tasty. Surprised to see that bbq sauce was pre-purchase over the kalua pig, which is not the norm, but thankfully the sauce was good and didn't hover the effort and time put into the pork. Definitely a recommend if you are on the West Coast and need some local music and great grindz to go with.

Extra tasty, casual and a nice change of pace in the Gorge. Have eaten here twice. Ordered the kahlua pork on soba noodles with broth. Love love love it! Hubby had ribs (a special) which were also very good and came with FABULOUS macaroni salad. I'm reserving a star for a couple reasons - interior is pretty spartan so comes across as a sterile fast food kind of place. Also, menu is pretty limited. They should get a license to sell beer. Not having any sweetener for ice tea was also a disappointment. None of these things will prevent us from stopping here again and again, however!

Stopped here while in hood River. I'm not impressed...at all. There was a strange flavor in the sauce on my Kalua pig that they need to get rid of. The Mac salad needs more mayo and seasoning too. Won't be back until they adjust their recipe.

Great service! Love feeling welcome and the food to die for! Love it all! Had the coconut curry with rice and chicken!

Very good Hawaiian food! Not the best I've had, but very good. They have the typical options you'd expect and some pretty good sauces. Service was very quick and friendly too!

Best Hawaiian BBQ I've had outside Hawaii. So glad this place opened up in Hood River. Very reasonable prices, I will be back here for sure!

Absolutely amazing! Super Authentic Huli Chicken tasted just like the Huli in Maui. Instead of Mac salad, Mark whipped up a quick spinach and carrot salad with rice wine vinegar. For the price, the portions are huge and the chicken has the BBQ wood flavor that only comes from a real outdoor grill. I will be back for sure!

Finally made it in for the first time. Great lunch today. The kahlua pig was excellent and for 7 bucks you can't beat it. Simple menu with quality meat, soba noodles, rice, macaroni salad. 3 way mix of sauces, volcano, bbq and teriyaki was perfect. Pay attention to these good reviews and ignore dudes like daddy who obviously have no taste...you can't please everyone that's for sure. These guys are doing a great job. Definitely worth a visit. ...and return visits.

Drove by this place many times and finally had some time to stop in for lunch. Definitely a let down experience. A friend and I both ordered the Kalua Pig. I got the rice, he got the soba noodles. The pork was pretty dry and was covered in a sweet teriyaki BBQ. The sauce had a prepackaged quality to it. The mac salad was okay, just under-seasoned. As a comparison, Ate-Oh-Ate's Kalua Pig plate in Portland is just as cheap and makes me weak in the knees it's so delicious. The service was very good. Everyone who took our order and brought our plates out was very nice. The food just didn't do it for me.

Amazing food and Amazing owners I stopped into the restaurant in May when things were still getting situated but hands down one of my favorite places to eat and can't wait to go back.

A tasty and authentic addition to the Hood River food scene. A must for those craving delicious Hawaiian plate lunch or fresh BBQ.

the staff working was pretty awful. We sat at the counter being ignored for five minutes before we were spoken to, and after we ordered we waited at least 45 minutes. The Hawaiian Mac salad was oily and bland. Chicken was okay but could've used a bigger portion for $10, the sticky rice was sticky rice.

Great find on road trip. Beef, pork and chicken BBQ flavorful. Really enjoyed fresh macaroni salad - light and flavorful and not lost in dressing. Owner served up - this is also where all the local guides were having lunch. Nice, casual vibe.

Went in for lunch, the chicken is super flavorful and we will definitely be back. Nice to have a place like this in Hood River!

Yummy Yum Yum !! This is Hawaiian and has the Asian influence big time. I love their food. I was getting the Huli Chicken with sticky rice which is good but once I tried it with the soba noodles and broth I.CANNOT.STOP.EATING.IT !! The staff are so nice and friendly and get your meal to you in a timely manner. The place is always very clean. There is a big BBQ set up outside where he cooks the meat daily! The aroma of the meats waft clear over to Walmart HAHA Honey drop that can-o-spam we are heading to Lilos. You can eat outside at one of the tables with a little umbrella but on an especially windy day you might want to go inside. All their foods are really good and I think the portions are large. The large is 2 meals for me. They have a nice variety of meals and the haupia which is pineapple and coconut pudding stuff is super good and a nice treat after a meal or just go in for that ! You can eat it there or take it home. Just beware of carrying the hot broth. Make sure it stays upright or like me half will be on your floor. But my doggies liked that!

Yum! What a gem in Hood River! The ginger beef is tender and amazing. The huli chicken was some of the best that I've had. I loved that when I walked in, I had no idea what they wanted and they were gracious enough to let me sample a few of their items. Great service, simple but yummy menu and quick! I can definitely see myself hitting this place up the next time I'm in Hood River working.

HOLY COW. or chicken, we'll go with holy chicken for this review :) What a secret little find in Hood River! I swung by here back when it was next to Pizzacato where we ate that particular day. As we were leaving Hood River I wanted a high-protein meal before our drive back and remembered the hawaiian grill, and IT WAS OPEN! I got their chicken plate and an order of their haupia. The girl at the front was very sweet and quirky and loaded my plate up like crazy! (I'm talking I could barely finish just the chicken portion!) Food Verdict; Chicken was smoked in their smoker outside and man the flavor was awesome, mac salad on point and sticky rice was great but a tiny bit overcooked. Haupia was to die for such a yummy treat, I enjoyed the pieces of coconut inside it- that you don't find everywhere. Next time we pass through we're going to try the kalua pork and their mahi mahi. Wish this gem was closer! Side note; a guy named Jose owns it, he seems to have mastered Hawaiian food! Great job from a hawaiian!

A meat-lover's paradise. Yum. Just. Yum. For smaller eaters, order a 'large' portion and split. I see some reviews recommend beef over chicken or vice versa. I can never choose -- they are both excellent! Thankfully we go as a family and eat 'family style' so we all get a little bit of everything. And again... Yum.

The atmosphere is calm, the service is quick, and the food is delicious. The Big Kahuna is a good way to try everything, but the ginger beef is my favorite! The Orange pineapple juice is also amazing.

Awesome service and delicious food. Was really impressed with the kalua pig and the yummy volcano sauce. A bit on the salty side, but tasty nonetheless!

Stopped here on a road trip and I'm sure glad I did! By suggestion of the employee we ordered the big kahuna and the chicken sandwich, both which were awesome choices. They even split the big kahuna in two since they knew me and my buddy we're splitting the two dishes! Meat was super tender and smokey, big portions, and service was fairly quick, along with the friendly attitude! Never been to Hawaii but I'd imagine they'd be into this place

Not terrible but chicken tastes so much like fish that I honestly thought I was eating fish the whole time. Yakisoba tastes like like top ramen. Descent presentation and atmosphere is quiet but overall, displeased.

There was nothing appetizing about their food. The chicken tastes weird, the sauce is gross and the menu has little to choose from. The employees acted liked they hated working there too. Try the pizza place next door.

Good place to stop. Big kahuna not as big as expected but delicious all the same. Great Mac salad and good rice.

We got the three meat sampler plate. The chicken was absolutely amazing, as was the macaroni salad (which generally I'm not fond of). Steamed broccoli was good and balanced out our meal. The people were friendly. Recommended!

Super surprised we lucked out finding this spot in the middle of our adventure touring the Colombia river gorge area. The food was great!! I ordered the ginger beer and my husband the Kaula pork. It came with rice, and Hawaiian pasta (very similar to pasta salad). Be sure to add the 3 sauces they have on the table.. Makes it even better!! This meal was better than some meals we had in Hawaii!!! Check it out!!

Wasn't expecting that smoked flavor with the meats and wow sooo good. This Hawaiian BBQ kicks a lot of ass! The secret is the fresh grilled/smoked chicken, beef, and pork. Honestly ranked up there with some of the best chicken I've had in the 808 or 503. Most placed don't have a big ass smoker in front doing work. Negatives: wish the "sticky" rice was actually sticky rice. Seemed like just regular white rice (need to steam it in the bamboo container Asian style) Also the fruit punch was good but on the pricer side $3 for small cup. Most importantly.. Located in Hood River, wish there was one closer to me.

WoW! I've never been a fan of Hawaiian food but Lilo's is now on the "absolutely must-stop" list for Hood River which already includes a few other greats like Double Mountain! I had the Kailua Pork over yakisoba noodles, it was a broth like noodle dish with a dash of bbq sauce. It was fantastic and perfect for a chilly fall day. I licked my bowl clean and didn't feel grossed out afterwards. I would highly recommend this place, quality food, great service, good prices. My partner had the 3 meat plate for $12, everything he had was great and plenty of leftovers for a 4th meal ;)

What a treat it was to find this place as we were driving through Hood River. I haven't enjoyed Hawaiian food this much since our last trip to the islands. My wife and I split a large Auntie's Huli Chicken with rice and yakisoba noodles and there was plenty of food for both of us. The favor of the chicken was excellent and I really enjoyed the noodles. I know macaroni salad is the more traditional side and it looked good but I just felt like noodles today. The service was very attentive and friendly and we our food was delivered to our table in a flash. I would highly recommend Lilo's BBQ and I'm looking forward to our next trip that takes us to Hood River as we will be stopping again.

After hearing great things about this place, decided to finally stop in and give it a whirl. Wow, so glad I did! Food and service were great! I couldn't decide on the meat between the chicken, pork and beef so decided to go with the big kahuna to try all three. I'm not a big fan of rice in general so went with the yakisoba. They nailed it! Here's the play by play: The beef is bomb. It has a tangy yet smoky flavor to it. I have no idea how they get it so perfectly cooked with the sear on the outside and slightly pink on the inside. Reminds me of an oriental style barbecue beef but with a sweeter and more complex Hawaiian style. In the yakisoba sauce, it practically melts in your mouth. My favorite of the three. Pork is pulled and has a very subtle savory seasoning to it. The pork flavor balances well with the barbecue flavor. As far as Kahlua style pork is concerned they nailed it. Chicken is good for smoked chicken. Much dryer than the beef or the pork but I would still consider it 'al dente'. Definitely heavier on the smoke flavor than the rest but with a good hearty consistency and served in large chunks. Pairs great with the wide array of barbecue sauces. Wife had the Mahi Mahi and I expected the typical 'made for fish tacos' pile of fish meat. Instead, she got a generous whole filet of fish! It was skillfully cooked with an outside seer and still left on the skin. As with any Mahi Mahi, it had a slight fishy taste but was in no way overpowering for the mild teriyaki seasoning. The meat was light and flaky with enough fat to keep the mouth watering. She shared it with our 3 year old and it was plenty. As you can see, each meat had a distinct texture and flavor and cooked to perfection. The yakisoba was alright , held up to the meat favors well enough. The sauce was mild and not too salty, helped accentuate the subtle smoky flavor of the meat. Macaroni salad was great too! Usually it is over salted but here it tastes fresh and not overpoweringly sweet or salty. Overall, this place will become my 'go to' for a big plate of BBQ meat and a side of Aloha!

Stopped in here our way to Lost Lake instead of getting shitty food at DQ or someplace that would sell us "food," Nope, Lilo's has good signage and a great location right on the way into or out of town. I'm from Maui and my fiance and I had just gotten back from the islands last month so we had proper Hawaiian food in our minds from Kihei's Da Kitchen...the guy at the place was friendly, offered to split our plate lunch into two portions and let us sample some POG while we waited. The food was hot and ready within minutes and aside from being as delicious as it is back home, was garnished with a slice of fuckin pineapple...not that that's a huge thing, you know though...details man, details. If you like Hawaiian food, stop in, we'll be back for sure.

I came here with my two daughters and between us we had the beef, the pork and the chicken. All were good. The flavors are strong. Not many choices but all are good. They were also happy to provide samples which was nice.

We went here based on the Yelp reviews and were not impressed at all. The food was just OK and the 'salt reaction' I had later on was awful.
